About

I suppose I am interested in the passage of time.

I am an illustrator, I work digitally, attempting a kind of photo-realism, in that I make my paintings look like photos. Photo-realism is a counterpoint to the abstract themes I explore. I am interested in light and its relation to time, the inadequacies of memory and transience.

During my MA I produced a book entitled ‘What I did on my summer holiday’, an exploration of childhood memory and its significance regarding my then current state of mind. It involves buckets, spades, sand castles and me wandering around on a beach at the end of the day.

There is more. There’s always more, but when would this end?

I also occasionally make noise.
